Foot Reflexology is a focused pressure technique applied directly to the soles of the feet, the toes, and the ankles. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body that corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands, and organs of the entire body.

Manipulating specific reflexes removes stress, activating a parasympathetic response in the body to enable the disharmonies to be released by a physiological change in the body. A reflexology session will increase blood circulation throughout the body. Increased circulation means that higher levels of oxygen and nutrients are delivered to the cells of the entire body. The blood returning from the cells carries out waste materials and carbon dioxide from to the cells. With stress removed and circulation improved, the body is allowed to return to a natural state of homeostasis.

The Reflexologist will suggest drinking a higher than usual volume of water for the days following a Reflexology session. This water will help clean out the body of the waste materials that the increased blood circulation removed from the cells.

A Reflexology session is usually very relaxing and feels wonderful on the feet. A session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.
